Liberty Fabric
I dreamt of covering folders with fabric, creating framed objects using fabric, bunting with fabric, sewing and creating teddy clothes, making cards adorned with fabric, etc. All these remain as a dream until now.
Florals are my favorite. The lesser white space, the smaller the flower, the better. Floral fabrics look vintage and are very efficient as it is attractive and loved by many. To little kids, these seem a bit too granny but to those who are past that childish way of thinking, florals are beautiful. What keeps me from buying such is the price + the shipping fees. A meter costs nineteen pounds and more which as one thousand pesos converted in Philippine peso. That is 2 weeks worth of allowance. I could not give in.
Nevertheless, I am quite contented for now in looking and sharing this beauties to you. To those who are in need of fabric, Liberty Fabrics is at your service.
So pretty :) You could always try eBay for cheaper lengths?
Oh yes. Thanks for reminding my 80 year old memory in a 15 year old brain. I will check.
Thank you Heidi!

Thank you very much Cindy. Will check your blog soonest. :)
i’m partial to the second print myself. i have an old pillowcase that i nabbed from my parents’ house. it’s an old floral one from the 70s and my hubby and i love the whole vintage vibe of it. we often fight over who gets the ’70s pillowcase’ after wash day! :)
I’m on the lookout now for floral pillowcases but I can’t seem to find one here! Can you tell how envious I am that you got one + it’s vintage?
These remind me of the covers inside Persephone books! So cozy!
love flower prints as well!
Lex, I finally found the blouse I was thinking of. The design is different than the second photo, but so slightly you’d never notice it.
It isn’t Liberty fabric, but still a very nice cotton. I’d never thought about textile designs being copyrighted, but indeed they are. That would explain the very slight changes in the “knock-offs” from popular patterns!
That blouse must be really pretty! I don’t know if I should dislike knock-offs but sometimes, they come in such cheap prices and just as pretty as the original that I can’t help but love it!
high five — i’m a huge fan of small-patterned florals, as well. have you been to the gap lately? they have a lot of floral items, plenty of which look very much like Liberty fabrics.
Katrina,
I live in a cave (Philippines) and you find no such shops here in Cebu. Or maybe I’m not looking at the right places!
These are so pretty, and covered folders is a really cute idea :)
XO, Neuter Kalin
It’s not really my original idea but when I first heard about it, I thought the same thing as you.
Gorgeous fabric! xxx
Here’s a nice link to William Morris patterns, and some information about him.

These fabrics are beautiful! Not only that, they’re the very fabrics I grew up with. This sort of print is in the quilts my grandma made, and even some of the blouses hanging in my mother’s closet.
I think mom may even have something made from that second print. I’ll have to look and see.
They remind me of William Morris prints – those are my very favorite! Like you, I love notebooks and boxes covered with fabric – I like the touch.
I’m sending the link to Libery to a friend who does quilting. I know she’ll like it.
Really? The very fabric from Liberty or just the designs? That is very cool! My sister wasn’t as impressed when she read this post. She isn’t past her childishness I think if she can’t manage to appreciate such beauty!
I am checking the link you gave. Thank you very much!
