Just yesterday, I started listening to two of Debussy’s creations. It’s beautiful. The more I listen, the more I want to learn how to play the piano. The more I play it, images start on forming on my mind, moving in harmony with the beat – fast and slow.
Does anybody of you listen to classical music? Can you recommend me anything else?
KPOP! Part II
So Nyeo Shi Dae or Girl’s Generation, better known as SNSD, is another K-Pop group I recently liked. I knew long before of their fame, watched a few of their music videos over YouTube but they just didn’t give any appeal to me aside from the fact that SNSD consists of nine members. It’s so hard to identify who is who since half of the girls almost look alike (aside from Sunny, HyoYeon, and Jessica who have distinct beauties).
As time passed by and I heard more often of this girl group and I got more interest on K-Pop, I found that they’re actually likeable (though I’m not gaga over them as I am with 2ne1). Beautiful faces, cute videos, upbeat songs, likeable voices and dance moves, it’s easy to fall in love with them.
KPOP! Part I
This was supposed to be entitled “Admiration for Korean Beauty”. I wanted to post more about my interests aside from books without the need to explain a story, without the pressure that I might not write a good piece, minus the pretensions, more with my opinion, etc. and I want to start with what I always see, hear, and watch – koreans.
I just really like how they look and I admire their confidence to be different. Koreans are known not only for their squint-ish eyes but also on their K-Pop talents (Korean Pop which is the counterpart of J-Pop or Japanese Pop). Though I barely understand a word, I like watching them dance and perform on stage, admiring on the way they dress and on the way their hair is styles, listening to the foreign language but familiar pop beats.
Introducing 2ne1.

Marié Digby’s Breathing Underwater
As I was searching through the popular website Youtube for songs or videos
just to kill boredom, I remembered that Digby had a new album and I have heard only one track: Avalanche.
So I searched for all the tracks of her album Breathing Underwater. It’s a good thing mariedigbychannel provides all of Digby’s songs except for the bonus tracks exclusive for Japan which was provided by GirlzMediaRecords.
I find her album breathtaking. I find all of the songs beautiful, faultless. With moving lyrics and beautiful
melodies, Breathing Underwater, in my opinion, worthy of an award. Digby started in Youtube, singing covers and her own originals and right now? She’s climbing her way up though I find her climbing slow. She’s still new so we fans need to wait for more albums to see her views on Youtube reach millions. With hundreds of Youtube singers that are starting to get discovered and are already discovered (Justin Bieber, for example), Digby is running behind. Nevertheless, my loyalty lies on Digby. Are you with me?
Moving on.
My sister have downloaded the entire album on the iPod and I noticed something upon listening to all of Digby’s songs while waiting for the electricity to come back after a few hours of hot Brownout. She has songs that reminded me of a few artists:
- Britney Spears
- Timbaland
- Lady Gaga
I’m not trying to point out that maybe she’s trying to copy for I believe she is
not. I rather believe that Digby can make her own original. I know she could.
Now, let me list (with convenient clickies of course) my favorite of the favorites.
So listen up and pray that she’ll plan a concert in the Philippines and this time, in Cebu! :D Please check my other post about Marié Digby on which she was my featured artist.
P.S Please don’t misunderstand. Digby wasn’t here. I did not interview her! *fidgets*
